NorthStar Family Resource Center Back to School Bash
NorthStar Family Resource Center (NSFRC) is thrilled to announce its partnership with local hairstylists and community partners in Lake City to co-host the 2026 Back2School Bash.
This event will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Richardson Community Center, located at 255 NE Coach Anders Lane, Lake City, Florida 32055.
The main goal of the Back2School Bash is to ensure that every local student has access to a backpack filled with school supplies. This year, we aim to distribute at least 800 backpacks. Additionally, we will provide free haircuts, food, and music for everyone in attendance.
We invite your organization to participate in this event. Please note that there is a limited number of vendor spaces available in the gym, so we encourage early registration. NorthStar Family Resource Center (NSFRC) is located on the campus of the Richardson Community Center. NSFRC serves the Greater Lake City area and opened in March 2021. This location provides a central location with plenty of space for community events, programs, and family activities. NSFRC is staffed with a Resource Center Manager and a part-time Administrative Assistant, along with the support community volunteers. NSFRC provides a wide array of free services and supports that community members have said they need.
