The Christian Service Center is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to serving neighbors in need with compassion, dignity, and Christ-centered care. Founded in 1982 as an outreach ministry of local churches, the Center provides essential support such as food and clothing, household items, prescription and utility assistance, fuel for work or medical travel, and other basic needs to families and individuals facing hardship. Beyond material support, staff and volunteers meet people one-on-one to listen, assess needs, and offer prayer and spiritual encouragement, reflecting their mission of love “with a heart like Jesus.” Through partnerships with local congregations, community organizations, and the proceeds from their Lighthouse Gift Shop, the Center also hosts special annual events such as Christmas food baskets, back-to-school shoe giveaways, and more, helping strengthen community bonds and uplift those who are in hard times in our area.
