I hope you are doing well. As we prepare for the 2026 event season, the Columbia County Sports Commission is launching a new initiative to increase visibility and economic impact for our local businesses.

In 2026, we are projected to host more than 70 sports events across Columbia County. Over the course of the year, these tournaments and competitions are expected to bring thousands of visitors to our community, including an estimated 8,000–10,000 athletes and coaches and more than 20,000 family members and fans. All of them are looking for places to stay, eat, shop, and explore during their time here.

To support this growth, we are integrating Playeasy Elements into our marketing and visitor experience pipeline. Playeasy is a national sports tourism platform used by teams, families, and event organizers to plan sports travel. This integration will now extend directly into our website and regional promotions.

What’s New in 2026:
• Playeasy event listings are now embedded into our Sports Commission website
• Local business promotions and campaign elements listed on Playeasy will be integrated into our website on our new Athletes Discounts page for visitors
• Our goal is to connect incoming athletes and families with local places to stay, eat, and shop

This creates a direct channel for visitors to see your business and any special offers you choose to promote during major events.
