Exciting first half of the year

As summer gets underway, we are grateful for the churches, volunteers, donors, and community partners who make the ministry of the Christian Service Center possible. As we reach the midpoint of the year, we have already seen God working in remarkable ways through our community. Hundreds of individuals and families have received food assistance, financial support, homeless services, and encouragement during difficult seasons. Each life touched is a reminder that no one changes a community alone…it takes all of us working together to meet needs, share hope, and demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways.

While we celebrate what has been accomplished so far, we also recognize that the need throughout Columbia County continues to grow. One of our upcoming events is the beginning of our annual Soles for Success program. Sign-ups will be held June 15 through June 30 for families seeking assistance with school shoes for their children. This program helps students start the school year with confidence while easing a financial burden for local families. Following the registration period, we will begin reaching out to our partner churches with opportunities to volunteer, assist with distribution, sponsor children, and help make this outreach a success.

We want to thank each community partner that continues to support the Center through prayer, financial giving, volunteer service, and encouragement. Because the Christian Service Center is fully community-supported, your partnership is essential to everything we do. Together, we are meeting immediate needs while pointing people toward lasting hope. As we move through the summer months, please continue praying for the families we serve, for wisdom as we respond to growing needs, and for opportunities to share Christ's love with everyone who walks through our doors.
