Lawn Care Supervisor 

Position Title: Lawn Care Supervisor
Location: Lake City/Gainesville

Compensation: Pay Based on Experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced Lawn Care Supervisor to oversee daily lawn maintenance operations, lead field crews, and ensure high-quality service for our residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain productivity while upholding company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Management

• Supervise and lead lawn care crews on a daily basis.
• Assign tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly.
• Train new employees on company procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching as needed.
• Promote a positive and professional work environment.

Lawn Maintenance Operations

• Oversee mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, weed control, and general landscape maintenance.
• Ensure all properties meet company quality standards before crews leave the site.
• Identify and address turf, irrigation, or landscape issues requiring attention.
• Assist crews with physical labor when necessary.

Equipment & Safety

• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and maintained properly.
• Conduct routine inspections of mowers, trimmers, trailers, and other equipment.
• Report equipment repairs and maintenance needs promptly.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures.

Customer Service

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding services and property concerns.
• Address customer questions or issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company in a positive manner at all times.

Administrative Duties

• Track crew productivity and job completion.
• Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other required documentation.
• Assist management with scheduling and route efficiency.
• Report staffing, equipment, or property issues to management.

Qualifications

• Previous lawn care or landscaping experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Experience operating stand-on and zero-turn commercial mowers is required.
• Ability to pull trailers and back trailers into tight spaces is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain a high standard of professionalism.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment.
