Dispatcher/Broker – Trucking & Bulk Freight

Job type: Full-time, in person

Pay: $20 per hour 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a rotating after-hours on-call schedule

 

Hopper Dispatch is looking for a dispatcher/broker who can keep freight moving, communicate clearly, and build strong working relationships with carriers, drivers, and customers. We coordinate loads across the continental United States, mainly focusing on the Southeast. 

 

What you’ll do

 

Schedule and track loads from pickup through delivery

Communicate load details, appointments, and updates to drivers and customers

Respond to time-sensitive issues during your scheduled on-call rotation

Help resolve delays and changes as they arise

Keep load information and records accurate

Work closely with our dispatch, billing, and operations teams

What we’re looking for

 

Trucking dispatch or freight brokerage experience preferred

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage several loads and priorities at once

Attention to detail and dependable follow-through

Comfort working with dispatch software, email, and spreadsheets

Hopper or bulk freight experience is a plus

We’re looking for someone who treats people with respect, takes ownership of their work, and stays calm when plans change.
