I pray you are safe and your family is well, while we all courageously get passed this pandemic. As a reminder, we have specialists on staff now, from the CARES act supplemental funding, with specific backgrounds, to assist businesses. If you aren’t sure what you might need, here is a flyer with a listing of all these added services and expertise. Of great Importance: If you have been emailed an FSBDC survey, please take the 10 minutes to answer those survey questions. We are a no-cost resource to you, in order for it to stay that way, we need to let the stakeholders know these resources are useful and effective. The results of this survey provide that feedback. It does not come from me, it comes from our state office so I don’t have access to it and I don’t see it. Contact us today The deadline to apply for the new round of Paycheck Protection Program loans is March 31, 2021. Recently, the SBA announced that it has approved approximately 60,000 PPP loan applications submitted by nearly 3,000 lenders! If you are considering applying, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. We anticipate funding for this program will go quickly. How to apply? Contact your local bank, credit union, or other SBA-certified lender. Comparison of Small Business Disaster Loans Available Through the Economic Aid Act Chart Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Congress has reauthorized funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Non-Profits, and Venues Act (Economic Aid Act). While many provisions of the program are the same as when the program was first passed in March last year, there are several important differences. One of the key changes is that businesses who have previously received a PPP loan are now eligible for a second loan. Click here to learn more. Shuttered Venue Operators (SVO) Grant Program As part of the Economic Aid Act, the SBA is offering a special grant program to provide a critical lifeline for the nation’s shuttered venue operators, including move theaters, art venues, and movie theaters. Eligible applicants may qualify for SVO Grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. Two billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees. Click here to learn more. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) & Targeted EIDL Advance In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, small business owners, including agricultural businesses, and nonprofit organizations in all U.S. states, Washington D.C., and territories can apply for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan. The EIDL program is designed to provide economic relief to businesses that are currently experiencing a temporary loss of revenue due to coronavirus (COVID-19). In December 2020, SBA extended the deadline to December 31, 2021 for accepting new EIDL applications from qualified small businesses and U.S. agricultural businesses. *Note: Targeted EIDL Advance applicants do not need to take any action at this time.
