About
The mission of Crime Stoppers of Columbia County is to promote and facilitate a joint effort between the community, local law enforcement, and the media to solve crime and apprehend wanted fugitives.
Crime Stoppers is a country-wide program designed to assist law enforcement agencies solve crimes. The program provides an anonymous system via the tip hotline at (386) 754-7099 for the community to communicate with law enforcement agencies regarding any information relating to crimes or the whereabouts of wanted fugitives. The program also provides an opportunity for law enforcement to inform the public of any unsolved crimes and to present the identity of wanted fugitives within the county.
Crime Stoppers of Columbia County began in 2007 from the efforts of our County Commission and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. Our program now operates as an independent organization. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies and the public.
